Impariamo a cantare Jingle Bells in giapponese, grazie a Pikachu, Eevee e Sudowoodo
Il canale YouTube ufficiale di Pokémon Kids TV, in occasione delle feste di Natale, ha infatti diffuso in video in cui Pikachu e un paio di amici (pokémon e non) ballano e cantano il celebre brano, accompagnati dai sottotitoli in hiragana in pieno stile karaoke giapponese. Il tutto mentre Sudowoodo si improvvisa albero di Natale.

E se vi state chiedendo perché Pikachu, verso la fine del video, invecchia rapidamente, si tratta di un riferimento a Urashima Taro, un racconto popolare giapponese su un uomo che ha salvato una tartaruga marina, che era in realtà la bellissima figlia del mitico imperatore dei mari.
Per la sua gentilezza, Taro fu ricompensato dal permesso di vivere con la principessa nel suo palazzo in fondo all’oceano, vivendo in una beatitudine senza tempo per molti anni. Quando alla fine scelse di tornare sulla terraferma, gli venne regalata una scatola e gli venne detto di non aprirla mai. Quando Taro ignorò l’avvertimento, tutto il tempo che era stato a palazzo è tornato magicamente visibile sul suo corpo, trasformandolo in un anziano in un batter d’occhio.
