Christopher Judge, voce originale di Kratos dal 2018 e doppiatore anche nel prossimo God of War: Ragnarok, ha rivelato il motivo del rinvio dell’atteso sequel della saga dei Santa Monica Studios.
Il gioco, il cui lancio era previsto per questo 2021, uscirà nel 2022 con Judge che ha voluto assumersi la responsabilità di questo rinvio.

Con una serie di tweet il doppiatore ha rivelato di essere stato sottoposto, nel 2019, a un intervento chirurgico che ha necessitato di un certo periodo di riabilitazione.
Sony e Santa Monica hanno così deciso di non dare fretta a Judge, aspettando il tempo necessario affinché si ristabilisse completamente

Ho bisogno di essere chiaro. Questonon è stato approvato da nessuno. Mi rivolgo agli amati fan di God of War per dirgli che Ragnarok è stato rinviato a causa mia. Nell’agosto 2019, non potevo camminare. Ho dovuto subire un intervento chirurgico alla schiena e al ginocchio. Hanno aspettato la mia riabilitazione.
E Sony Santa Monica non ha mai detto una parola sul rinvio e su cosa lo abbia causato. Quello che hanno fatto per la troupe è molto di più… di cui non posso parlare, ma ho detto a tutti i soggetti coinvolti, che è la cosa più elegante di cui abbia MAI sentito parlare in questo business. Tutti quelli coinvolti nel franchise di GofW mettono i loro cuori e le loro anime in ogni fotogramma che vedete. Voglio ringraziare tutti quelli che mi hanno permesso di giocare… E ridere, amare e piangere, senza giudizio, ma con sostegno e amore incondizionati.
Ricordiamo che God of War: Ragnarok arriverà su PlayStation 5 e PlayStation 4 nel 2022.
